Salvia Divinorum Can Take You Places
Many people want to feel something different and unique from usual everyday experiences. This is the reason why some turn to other ways that can make them feel good and high. Sometimes the only way to get high is to take drugs or take excessive amounts of alcohol. However, there is a new alternative for these unlikely poisons.
Salvia divinorum is one of the strongest hallucinogen herbs known to man. Its popularity was made possible because many countries consider it as a legal herb despite of the similarities of its effects to marijuana. Like marijuana, Salvia also produces an intense high as well as a unique out of body experience. First time users of this herb can have bad dreamlike experiences.
Additionally, salvia has been greatly recognized by many scientists because it contains Salvinorin A, which is a very powerful hallucinogen. High intake of salvia means high doses of Salvinorin A. Increased doses of Salvinorin A can take users to another time and place along with disturbing and frightening hallucinations. This is one reason why many first time users choose not to try it again. Others who love its weird effects want more of what the herb can give them.
Attorney General Strikes Against Acai Scammers
The Acai Berry industry has taken yet another hit with a landmark settlement between some prolific scammers and the Arizona Atty Gen Terry Goddard. This settlement is good for everyone, but may cause some ripples on the water in what is already a very delicate industry.
The details of the settlement are as follows: $1 million will go towards civil penalties to the state. $350,000 was set aside for customer restitution (and on this note, if you feel you are at as part of this package, then you need to apply to the Arizona attorney general’s office by close of business August 17, 2009); the remaining $25,000 with the state’s legal costs incurred in bringing the action.
So what exactly did Central Coast Nutraceuticals do to deserve such a penalty? Well, quite simply put, they scammed a lot of people. They were one of many Acai companies running what are known as free trial scams. The customer is enticed into paying a minimal amount for shipping and handling costs, in a matter what is sold to them as a trial. In fact, unbeknownst to the consumer, they are signing up for a subscription to receive a regular shipment of the product at full price.
Naturally many customers signing up this deal were not interested in receiving regular acai shipments. Surprise turned to frustration as the customers realize they could not cancel the subscription. CCN made it very difficult to contact them by not answering e-mails and leaving callers on hold for over an hour. Often the only way out of this scam is to cancel credit card from which the Acai is being charged.
People taking advantage like this of the popularity of Acai as a health food should consider their cards marked. There is a legitimate market for Acai, and many legitimate distributors fulfilling legitimate orders. Scammers take note: you are not welcome here.
How My Mom Showed Me The Ares Connect Way
Have you ever heard of Ares Connect? No? Me neither. Until my mom showed me, that is. To have my mom demonstrate anything remotely technical to is like teaching your grandmother to suck eggs. It shouldn’t happen – I’m determined it won’t ever happen again – but it did happen.
She started using Ares after I introduced it to sometime ago, and had formed an unnatural bond to the software. She was downloading a lot more than me, and I get through a fair few downloads a week!
We’d both been having troubles connecting to the Ares network for a couple of months, and it was really starting to frustrate us both. Sometimes we could connect instantly, like normal, but then on other occasions we were looking at waits of anything between 10 minutes and five hours. Not what you want when you need that music track NOW!
Anyway, these delays were frustrating as both and I decided to do a little bit of investigation into the situation. It turns out that we weren’t the only ones suffering. In fact Google is alive with requests for help on this particular topic. Search for “Ares connecting” and you will see exactly what I mean. Determined to find a solution to this problem, I went to sleep.
Meanwhile my mom, Ares addict that she is, dug a little deeper. She discovered that a lot of these issues – in fact all of these issues – were being immediately solved by something called Ares Connect. Of course she’d never heard of this. I’d never heard of Ares Connect, as I mentioned earlier, so it’s unlikely she had. Undeterred, she downloaded and installed the app. Apparently it worked first time. And every time since.
To have my technical problem solved by my mom… where did it all go wrong?
